Holy Week Letter

Greetings to you, my brothers and sisters,

In this time of crisis, may your heart be comforted with the grace and peace that can only come from the Holy Spirit. Truly, I know that God has prepared us for the challenges we are currently experiencing. Our prayers and fasting, bible study, worship service, and sermons preached were designed by God. It is no coincidence that God chose for Christ Our Redeemer Church the vision to build a Covenant Community. Through the Holy Spirit, we are building our spiritual lives and more in-depth and meaningful relationships with each other. We are building a community within our community while building our spiritual future to live in eternity with Christ!

Even during these unprecedented times, the vision and purpose God has for you and our church have not changed. Now more than ever, it is evident that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ must be first and center in everything we do. We must continue to be a church that is Spirit-led and spiritually driven.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians: Just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight. In love, He predestined and lovingly planned for us to be adopted to Himself as [His own] children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the kind intention and good pleasure of His will. (Ephesians 1:4-5 (AMP)

My brothers and sisters, we were claimed by God as His own chosen and predestined before we were born. We are reminded by Jeremiah of Old, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." It is my prayer as we prepare for this most sacred time in the life of the church (Holy Week), that you will allow the Spirit of God to work within you. Be confident in your faith knowing the depth, height, length, and breadth of God's love for each of you… for there is “No Greater Love.” Continue to stand firm. Let nothing move you as we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

God Bless,

Pastor Ralph
